Boys love mulch and dirt

Grandpa came to visit on Christmas and Mommy and Daddy decided we should go to the park. I'd never been to Independence Park and I thought the mulch was exceptional. I also surprised them by climbing up and down the curb and running into the field.

Grandpa Don is very surprised by how busy Alex is and what a sweet disposition he possesses. We're not sure where THAT came from!

What are these shiny floaty things?

Alex suddenly took an interest in bubbles. He's thinking...

"Hey, what are these shiny, floaty, magical things that pop when I grab them???"

Thanks to Aunt Margie for the new T-shirt.
Thanks to Aunt Susie for the foam puzzle.

Babyzilla

The baby that ate New York: Foaming at the mouth, Alex Arnstein returns to the Land of His People only to devour several buildings, splash all the water out of the Central Park pond and use the arch in Washington Square Park as a teething chew toy.

After using City busses as baby rattles, he was apprehended when he used the Major Deegan Expressway to lay down for his afternoon nap. Thankful Yonkers residents are rejoicing that he did not make it to their town, especially after he raided the concession stands at Yankee Stadium.

(Thanks to Gaea and her coworker for the GREAT Photoshop job)

Pepperoni Pizza and Cowboys

Mommy forgot my bib on our trip to get my new shoes. But, that's OK, she makes me a "Cowboy Bib". I didn't mind the bib because I wanted to check out those red circles on her pizza. They were much more fun to throw on the floor than eat. The best part is the "Mmmm..." when they give me something good to eat, like applesauce covered broccoli.

New Shoes (ya can't stop me now!)

Last week, Mommy and Daddy took me to the shoe store where I got my first pair of walking shoes. Walking is so much fun and I love to sneak up on them. I'm so glad Mommy brought some of my toys, it was much easier to chase them. I hope Mommy doesn't put bells on my shoes, how else will I catch Zoe??

What A Difference A Year Can Make?

Some people say that a year is just a year. Maybe they only had a few notables, but for me, it was HUGE! When I was born, I didn't know where I was, but I knew who my Mommy and Daddy were. Now I can sit, stand, walk, babble, feed myself, throw stuffed animals, chase a ball and giggle as I climb up the slide. Who says you can't accomplish much in a year???

Playing in Sylvan Park

Mommy and Daddy took me to the park to play with them over the long Thanksgiving weekend. We've been playing catch at home, but that was nothing like getting to walk on mulch and watch the big kids! I loved it when Daddy pushed me on the swingset.

More Birthday Pix - My Uncle Jeff!

Mommy found more pictures from my 1st birthday. I love my Uncle Jeff so much! He teaches me to play air guitar, tosses me into the air, and jumps in the bounce house with me too. If he wasn't so big, I'd think he was a playmate of mine. The last picture is of me and Mommy, Bubby Marily, Tia Janet, and Joe Bansuelo. I was a little sleepy upon waking up after a good nap.
