New Sandals for Summer

After a lot of trips to shoe stores and multiple returns, I finally found a pair of sandals that will fit Alex's fat little feet. They are so wide that it's been quite frustrating! We needed sandals for both of us for our "east coast tour" next month to visit family in 3 cities. First we tried on Nike's. Alex whined and fussed no matter how loose I made them. Next we tried on Buster Brown's, but he still fussed and didn't want to walk when I put him down. Lastly, we tried on Carters with flashing lights on the sides. Once I put Alex down, he took off down the aisle. Yes, those were the ones.

Throwing Tomatoes

Alex and I went for lunch at Dave and Joanne Johnson's house. We had such a good time picking up pebbles, chasing the cat, and throwing grape tomatoes. He wasn't interested in eating them, just throwing. I am so glad he didn't throw them at me!

On, Off, On, Off...

Now that Alex is tall enough to reach the lightswitch, he's obessesed with lights and ceiling fans. I think it might be his first word after Momma and Da Da. We think it's pretty cute.

First Snow!

We took Alex to see snow for the second time (the first he still rode in the front carrier and slept). Alex LOVED it! He wasn't sure what to make of it, but when I threw snowballs at his chest and let him play, he giggled uncontrollably. I really love the snowprint hand. We went with our friend Ginny and her son Paul.
