Alex and I watched our first episode of America's Funniest Videos. We were watching a section where people spilled stuff all over themselves and they dropped birthday cakes. How fun!

Eating cupcakes at Alex's 2nd birthday party
Well, I know this is a few months late, but I've finally figured out the software for editing videos, etc. I hope you still like it.

Playing with new HD video camera
I'll apologize in advance for the poor filming, but it was my first attempt with the new HD video camera Aaron got for us. It was shaky because I had to keep moving back against the couch as he came up to me.

Alex - almost 2 year old photo

Since we only got one of these 10x10 photos (don't ask about finding a frame), I decided to try my best to scan such an odd size. Obviously it's a little cut off on one side, but you get the idea.

Family Photo - 2009
There are more, but I haven't had a chance to scan them all yet! I'll add them to this post as soon as I do.
This was Alex's school picture - taken the day after his 2nd birthday. Thanks Grammie for the doggy (vuff vuff) sweater! When the photographer pulled up his name and saw which boy he was, she commented "Yeah, he's a runner!" They got him to smile by throwing stuffed animals in the air - a favorite pastime.

Crib Shots
Alex still loves his crib. I'm in no rush to pull him out and he's in no rush to get into a big kid bed yet. I think it's kind of comforting to him. We had fun playing and hamming it up for the camera after his bath. I'm so jealous of those curls!!

Rehab Park - with Reed!
My new friend Lori told me about a park in Loma Linda that I'd never heard of. Rehab Park has now become our new favorite park. Of course, it's even more fun if we go with Alex's friend (Lori's son) Reed. How does one little boy get so dirty in an hour and a half??

Petting Zoo at Apple Butter Festival - 11/27/2009

What's so fun about taking a 30 minute car ride with Mom? The PETTING ZOO at the Apple Butter Festival in Oak Glen! Alex had so much fun feeding the goats, checking out the llama, and laughing at the pig. Sorry I don't have pictures of him trying to get the hay out of his diaper, my battery died on my camera. Next time!

Alex and his CheezIts
Well, this was my first attempt at not only uploading video, but using my new Blackberry to do it. Crazy. I hope my skills improve over time. :)

Manhattan Beach with Daddy
Mid August, we went to Manhattan Beach to enjoy a stopover Margie, Ellis, and Danny had on their way to Australia. As you can see, Alex is quite the water baby. He was crying and trying to do "the drop" because Daddy wouldn't let go and he wanted to play in the strong current. Alex didn't care about salt water in his eyes, he was so happy. I guess I'll be driving him to surfing lessons in 6 years.

A Day on the Farm
Alex had his first trip to the Pumpkin Patch back in September when they opened. They had two different petting zoos and we also went for a pony ride. I think he was happiest looking at the rooster and hens as well as feeding the pygmy goats some hay.

A Flashback to 1971
This is the outfit that Aaron wore on his 2nd birthday way way waaay back in 1971. I couldnt' get Alex to sit still long enough to get a full body shot. But, ya gotta love the purple shirt and lavender fringe shorts!!!

Aaron's 40th birthday present
My mom sent Aaron a "digital camera" but it really ended up being a surprise for his 40th birthday. I can't believe he's really 40, it seems like last year that we were in high school together.

Bathtub vs Pool? What's the difference?
Alex hasn't made the distinction that the pool is not a bathtub. He was pulling his shorts off, so we let him go "wild" in the backyard.

I Missed My Daddy.
Alex was SO happy to have Aaron home that he followed him around like his shadow. I was lucky to have caught a few of these pictures.

Daddy's Home!
Alex spent an hour playing in the backyard with Aaron. He loves being able to put the wand back into the bubble mix. I had a great time taking pictures with my Mother's Day Gift - a Nikon Coolpix.

Chick Magnet
We had a month of "June Gloom" with cold, overcast days. Alex has been teething for what seems like forever. Today (June 14th) we went to a park to play.
